This is a classic British comedy. A young, unknown salesman for a large company sets off on a seemingly mundane journey to an unusual town - and chaos ensues. From the very beginning, this wonderful game from small studio Coal Supper makes it clear that it's going to fill the place with as much slapstick and surrealism as possible. Fields of Mistria
When it comes time to leave the opening scene, which takes place in a 10th-floor office, the player is forced to do so through a window, his fall interrupted by the very bus he must board to continue his journey.
When you reach the fictional town of Barnsworth in northern England, a sinister reincarnation of Barnsley from the early 1980s, you're supposed to meet the mayor, but he's busy, so you head out. Here you discover a menagerie of strange characters, drawn in bright, sickening colours and a deceptively childish style, who usually greet you with a "Thank God you're here" before you gather to help them solve some ridiculous crisis.
They might be a burly gentleman with his hand stuck in a drain, or a chip shop owner with a broken fryer, or a forgetful admiral who needs you to retrieve his seagulls. But wherever you go - in the markets, on the rooftops or among the geniuses - you'll encounter more and more oddballs with odd jobs, as the strange logic of the world and its spiralling geography draw you into servile confusion. Did you want to play something between a Flann O'Brien novel and an episode of Dick and House in the Bungalow? You got it.
