Yusuke is an office worker who doesn't like people, preferring to do his work alone and in silence. When the company he works for suddenly went bankrupt, he lost his job and with it all his motivation disappeared and he became a complete shut-in.

On one of the rare days when he decides to leave his apartment, after a week-long binge with video games, a mysterious man attacks him and bites him on the hand. Although Yusuke manages to escape back to his room, he falls ill with a fever and becomes bedridden for several days.

When Yusuke wakes up recovered, he returns to his normal life, but soon discovers that in the short time he was asleep, the world has changed completely. Zombies have appeared in all corners of the world at the same time, and the few surviving people are now in hiding.
