Canvas 2 focuses on the lives of some of the students and teachers at Nadeshiko Academy both at school and in their personal lives. The protagonist of the game, Hiroki Kamikura, lives with his younger cousin Alice. Hiroki works as an art teacher and also tries to take care of Alice.

Shortly thereafter, his childhood friend Kiri starts working at the school and meets the sickly student Tomoko, the famous student-singer Sumire, and the new Vice-Chairman Sai. Art club president Mami urges him to be more diligent, and his student Kana ramps up the offensive, and now Hiroki has to balance the feelings of these girls with the demands of work and personal life.
